Veteran Actor Rishi Kapoor Passes Away at 67

Acclaimed National Award-winning actor, Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30. The Bollywood’s heartthrob of the 70s’ was admitted to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital on April 29 for some breathing issues and breathed his last there. This is the second loss for the film fraternity after the demise of Irfaan Khan Yesterday.

Rishi Kapoor’s longtime friend and co-star, Amitable Bachhan was the first to tweet the condolence. After a few minutes, Kapoor’s Wife Neetu Kapoor Confirmed the Loss.

Rishi Kapoor had returned to the country in September after undergoing Cancer treatment in the US. He was previously taken to the hospital in February earlier this year after being diagnosed with an infection.

The Original Chocolate boy of Bollywood, Rishi Kapoor started his career early, as a child actor in the film Mera Naam Joker (1970), for which he won the Filmfare Award. His first role as an adult came in the iconic film Bobby (1973) with Dimple Kapadia for which received the Filmfare Best Actor Award. He was part of hit films like Amar Akbar Anthony, Rafoo Chakkar, Laila Majnu, Prem Rog, Chandni, Sargam, Karz, Heena, Karz, Bol Radha Bol, Saagar and others.
