The Most awaited festival of Navratri will begin in India from 17th October 2020. But due to the outbreak of Corona across the world,the garba lover may not enjoy this popular dance folks this year. Although the government has hinted to give the maximum possible relaxation for the Navratri festival, within the guidelines of the Covid-19, but the organizers are not willing to take any risks. The events will either cancelled or done at smaller scale.

Navratri is an Indian festival celebrates all across the country especially in Maharashtra and Gujarat.  We all celebrate Navratri with full devotion and worship different forms of goddess Durga during these nine Days of navratri.

We keep fasts, do jagrans and traditional dance form Dandiya and Garba. Gujaratis are very fond of Garba.  These Garba Nights are most vibrant, spirited and vivacious. Garba Nights are fill of dancing, lot of food tasting, social bonding and other festivities. But You know what is more Important? It is How to get ready for Navratri Garba!!

How to Get Ready for Navratri Garba:-

All the girls out there who are going to rock the garba night are eagerly looking for the Garba outfits, accessories, Footwear, hairstyle and Makeup. So below in this article, we are going to help you out to get ready for Navratri Garba celebration:-

Navratri Outfit:-

One of the most popular outfits for Navratri Garba is Chaniya Choli. Traditional chaniya choli are decorated with stones, gotta Patti, mirror work, beads, zari, shells and embroidery.  All the people are excited to dress up during the long waited  navratri celebration. Women wear traditional chaniya choli for Dandiya Night.

Another Indian Attire for garba Night is Lancha. It gives traditional as well as sophisticated look for the Dandiya Night. Lancha is different from Chaniya Choli as it includes along choli cover yur stomach and back.

Navratri Accessories:-

Navratri accessories include all about necklace, earrings, ring, maang tikas, nose rings, bangles, armlets, bindi and anklet. All these traditional accessories are worn by women or girls for Navratri garba night.

Necklace and Earrings:-

Oxidized Necklace with tassels is very much in trend for Dandiya Night. Besides, simple long oxidized necklaces are also preferred during these festive nights.

When you are wearing simple outfit, you can opt for double layered necklace. It will style the chaniya choli to glam up the traditional Look. Some ladies like to wear long ethnic metal earrings which go with necklace.


Kamarband is a waistband which is worn around the Waist Line. It is made of Silver or oxidized alloy and either simple or stone studded. Kamarband enhance your Navratri Look.

Mang Tikkas:-

Mang tikka is one of the favourite ornament of Girls wearing in Garba Night. There are different designs and patterns of mang tikkas. They are usually worn in the middle part of Hair above the forehead. Mang Tikkas are mainly oxidized, sate based, kundan studded, pearl studded, crown pattern and many more.


Armlet is worn by the women on the upper arm. For the perfect Navratri Look, silver linings oxidized armlet and silk threaded bracelet are best. Go for the armlet that matches with your outfit and other accessories.

Mojarris are the perfect footwear worn to dress up for traditional Navratri Night. Mojaris are hand crafted footwear worn by both men and women during the garba celebration. Mojaris or juttis wont harn your feet and ankle while playing garba. Jaipur Juttis are very popular ethnic embroidered footwear.


Any festive look is incomplete without a bindi. It is a beautiful mark worn in the middle of forehead by Indian women. Choose the bindi that glam up your face and enhance your traditional look for the garba Night. Choose a simple stone studded bindi to compliment your Outifit for Garba Night.


The anklet is a bracelet worn around an ankle. These days, pompom anklet, afghani anklets, silver lined oxidized anklet are the latest trends. Choose the anklet, which matches with your outfit.

A Perfect hairstyle will add more beauty to your traditional garba night look. A vibrant Hair streaks and highlights are very much in trend.  You can try fishtail braid, flip twist ponytail, a bun, braided loose bun, side braid and floral bun for the navratri celebration.

Use primer: – On the garba ground, you are going to sweat a lot. So prepare your skin for the sweat. Always use a face primer to keep your makeup intact.

Go to powered Products: – Apply light base and use BB cream. Opt for the powdered products instead of Cream or Liquid. Powder product will absorb the wetness while the liquid and cream products will make you face look wetter.

Highlight your face: – To make your look more natural, go for natural highlighter. Don’t forget to moisturize your face before Makeup.

Eyes: – For the perfect garba look, go for smokey or bold eye makeup. Apply the shades that are clearly visible in the intense light of ground. Use Shimmery gold, bronze or copper shades. Apply water proof Liner, Kajal and mascara. Don’t forget to groom your eyebrows.

Lips:- For the perfect lips, go for pink, peach, light corals and red lipstick. Choose the best quality lipstick color according to your skin tone. But if you choose the bold eye makeup, go for light lip color to balance your Garba Look.
